Celtic metal workshop in the Museum Park
For conservational reasons the famous bronze couch from the Hochdorf chieftain's grave cannot travel to Bern for the exhibition. But an exact replica of it will be made in a Celtic metal workshop installed in the Museum Park. Faithful imitations of tools and materials of the period, as well as ancient techniques such as forging, casting and goldsmith's work, will be used, impressively showing the artistic skills of Celtic craftsmen: a particular attraction for the whole family.
Opening times of the Celtic smithy: Tues, Wed, and Sun, 13.00 - 17.00
